These cold clear days provide amazing nighttime skies and glorious sunrises. It does mean bundling up to go for a walk, though. I am so glad to have friends willing to make the effort to get out there with me! It does seem sad to have rain destroying the snow now.
The one animal roaming my woods that I have not actually seen is the bobcat. I have seen tracks and my neighbor up the road actually was able to watch one tracking a prey in her yard. The turkeys still continue to barricade Dublin Rd from time to time so I imagine someone may be feeding them.
Please note the Plymouth Historical Society will be shifting the hours for January through April to the first and third Sundays, from 2-4 p.m. These faithful volunteers graciously welcome folks searching for their Plymouth ancestors or those who are simply interested in seeing the amazing collection at the former Plymouth Elementary School.
It is with sadness that I mention the explosion and fire that destroyed the Rourke and Falange homes on Echo Lake a week or so ago. It is a blessing that nobody was injured Thanks to the emergency personnel that responded.
If curling up with a good book is your thing, consider joining the book discussion at Fletcher Memorial Library at 10 AM on 1/9. We will be exploring The Beantown Girls by Jane Healey. All are welcome!
