Winter Ice Rink at Bethany Birches Camp

1/4/19

Having trouble remembering to write 2019! It seemed like there were even more folks up for the Holiday season than ever this year. I have heard mixed reviews on ski conditions, but having a good base and cold temps have led to snowmaking to add to the coverage. We received snow so early and now only a dusting here and there. It mainly serves to cover up the ice on driveways and in parking lots, where it is slippery, so be careful. I use grippers just to get from my house to the garage!

I am sure there will still be lots going on at the Bethany Birches’ annual free Winter Family Fun Day on Sat 1/12.   It is hoped that the usual activities (tubing, skating, skiing) will take place, but fireside sitting, chatting, and games will certainly be offered. Go to http://www.bethanybirches.org/wffd for pics, more details and to let them know you plan to attend, so they plan for lunch! Snow camps will be starting at the end of the month and I will include details next time.

It is still undetermined when yoga will start again at the Community Center, but hopefully it will be soon. Don’t forget that Plymouth residents can use the Activity Room for meetings, gatherings and classes. Contact Lauren at lskaskiw@gmail.com or call (802 417 6895).

Lauren is planning another Date Night childcare on Saturday 1/19 from 4-8 pm at the Plymouth Schoolhouse at the Community Center. Cost is $20 per child for ages 3 and above. Please pack your child’s dinner and since space is limited, RSVP in advance.

Plans are being made for the Community Luncheon on Thursday, 1/17 at 11:30 AM downstairs at Tyson Church. We already have an offer for dessert and will be reaching out for help with the rest of the meal. It is always nice to mingle with friends and neighbors, while enjoying a wholesome meal and lively conversation. Mark your calendars!
