Snowy days, recap of recent local events, next Book Club meeting ~ Margo’s Plymouth report

1/20/25

It seems like it snows every day lately. The Sunday night storm did not bring more than a few inches, but the temperature has certainly plummeted. Looking out my window it is beautiful – a picture perfect blanket of white snow glistening in the sunlight. Although I shoveled off my deck, it looks like I will be staying put for the time-being, since I tested positive for Covid this morning…

I have it on good authority that the breakfast at the Town Bldg on Sat morning was a success. The thirty or so folks who attended enjoyed a nice meal and were able to peruse information tables set up by Black River Good Neighbor Services and other resource providers.

Thanks to Tom at the Echo Lake Inn, the Book Group enjoyed meeting in the living room to discuss The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store by James McBride. This book touched upon so many pertinent issues and the discussion was lively. The group is planning to take advantage of the “locals” menu for our next meeting, Wednesday, 2/12 as we talk about Fire Exit by Morgan Talty.
