Snow and more snow ~ Margo’s Plymouth report

2/17/25

I thought I had prepared for this latest storm by having my other deck shoveled, snow taken off my back garage roof, and hiring a big machine to move back my snow piles. It was not enough! I kept shoveling periodically on Sunday, trying to keep ahead of it. The consistency kept changing. Sometimes light and easy to move, other times heavy with sleet pelting me. When I went to bed, I felt proud of my efforts, but arising to almost another foot on Monday morning was a shock. At least it was light and fluffy, although there seemed to be little room to move it.

The holiday week has brought lots of visitors to our area, some of whom do not seem to have appropriate tires. I have heard of several plows failing recently, leaving many without access to snow removal. Electricity has been out sporadically in some places in Plymouth, but so far not in Tyson. It would be nice to have a little break from snow….
