April is coming to a close. The windy, cold and soggy weekend is behind us and the sun is glorious this Monday morning. I admit that I turned the heat on yesterday to warm up and dry out the house!
The Select Board is meeting tonight at 6 PM at the Town Building. GreenUp Day is this Saturday with free pancakes from 7 – 10 AM, then lunch from 11:30 – 1:30 at the Town Office. I know several people who have encountered ticks, especially while raking up wet leaves. Perhaps tips can be gleaned at https://www.HealthVermont.gov/BeTickSmart
We had a lively time at Book Club last Thursday discussing A Walk in the Woods with five of us in person and one on Zoom. The next meeting is 5/21 to talk about A Month in the Country by JL Carr. We will also choose selections for the next several months.
More interesting programs are being offered at Fletcher Memorial Library in Ludlow. On 5/3, Adam Boyce will give a talk on tthe Need to Belong, where he will provide information on researching your genealogical connections. Prop Swap will be happening on Mon, 5/5 5:30-7PM where you can trade/exchange house plants and clippings. Consider attending the discussion of Echoes of Our Ancestors by Brenda Vicars on 5/12 at 6 PM.
