Margo Marrone’s Plymouth Report

Republished with permission from The Vermont Standard

Well a bit more snow arrived Saturday night into Sunday morning than I had expected. I think we received about 5 inches in Tyson. From inside it looked lovely outside – until you walked out into that wind! It does seem to snow during hunting each year, making tracking easier. I did hear that Mark Savery shot a deer recently & that Isaac Sheldon got a good sized bear!

What a wonderful turkey dinner was served at the Reach Out Luncheon on Thursday at the church. The help with clean-up by the teens from Windsor Youth is always appreciated!

The Celebration of Life for Carroll Earle last week filled Bethany Mennonite Church literally to overflowing. Many humorous stories surfaced about this gentle man with a big heart & a passion for fun. Our condolences to family & friends alike.

The season of Advent will start this next weekend – a busy one for Tyson church. The Service of Remembrance will take place at 4:00 PM on Sunday, 12/1. We will light candles from the Hope candle for those no longer with us, remembering them fondly. It is open to anyone who wishes to attend.

Our Community Candlelight service will be at 7:00 PM on 12/22. There will be a cookie decorating time starting at 5:30 PM for youngsters. Then following the service we can feast on these goodies as well as others that folks bring! More details to follow…..
