There were a couple of days this past week that I thought Punxsutawney Phil might have been correct, that spring was not far away. I enjoyed a lovely walk the other day and there almost seemed to be a warm breeze. Tom and I ventured out this afternoon, but instead there was a harsh, cold wind that moved us briskly along!

Speaking of that infamous groundhog, I can’t wait to hear the fun facts that Dana Dolloff will unearth and present at the Community Luncheon on Thursday, 2/21. There will be a special chicken dish, rice, veggies, and dessert, so consider joining the party at 11:30 AM in the Community Room at Tyson Church. Please enter through the parking lot and tread carefully.

Well, Valentine’s Day is coming up on the 14^th and The Echo Lake Inn (802-228-8602) is offering a Valentine’s special for $89/couple from 2/13-17.  It includes soup or salad, a small plate, a large plate, and dessert; along with champagne.  Also, the Inn at Water’s Edge (802-228-8143)  has weekly Thursday night specials of a 4 course meal for $25 per person including a glass of wine. Call for additional information and reservations, then enjoy!
