Construction Updates Routes VT- 100 and VT- 100A

The Vermont Agency of Transportation (AOT) is using accelerated construction to improve VT-100 in Plymouth and VT-100A, which spans Plymouth and Bridgewater.

DATE: October 29, 2021

VT-100 TRAFFIC IMPACT: The closure of VT-100 between Route 4 and VT-100A is now anticipated to continue until the last week in November due to construction delays. Detour signs and message boards are in place to direct traffic. Please travel with caution. 

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: At bridge 114, subcontractor BlakTop, Inc. and subcontractor Lafayette Highway Specialties, Inc. , paved the roadway installed guardrail last week. At bridge 115 this week, the contractor continued installing reinforcing steel and forming abutments. Next week, the contractor plans to pour concrete for the abutments. 

LOCATION: VT-100 in Plymouth between VT-100A and Route 4.

PROJECTED COMPLETION: November 2021
At Culvert 115, abutment installation continues.

REMINDER: AOT has coordinated with the Department of Parks, Forests, and Recreation regarding the upcoming winter closure of Shrewsbury Road/ Old CCC Road. In light of the ongoing VT-100 closure, this year the road will not be closed on November 1, and will instead remain open so long as weather permits, or until VT-100 is reopened. 

VT-100A CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: Over the week, Pike Industries has worked on miscellaneous items to clean up the job site, including cleaning drop inlets and shoulder repairs. 

TRAFFIC IMPACT: No further traffic impacts are anticipated this season.

REMINDER: During the VT-100 closure (see above), VT-100A is the dedicated detour route. Please plan your travel accordingly.

PROJECT COMPLETION: October 15, 2021
