Construction Update Routes VT-100 and VT-100A

The Vermont Agency of Transportation (AOT) is using accelerated construction to improve VT-100 in Plymouth and VT-100A, which spans Plymouth and Bridgewater.DATE: November 12, 2021

VT-100 

TRAFFIC IMPACT: The closure of VT-100 between Route 4 and VT-100A is anticipated to continue until the last week in November due to construction delays. Detour signs and message boards are in place to direct traffic. Please travel with caution. 

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: At bridge 115, the contractor poured abutment footings and temporary bracing for the buried bridge last Friday. This week, subcontractors VR Concrete and Odin Steel completed forms and reinforcing steel installation for the two cast-in-place concrete headwalls, which will be poured today. Next week, the contractor will begin backfilling the abutments.

LOCATION: VT-100 in Plymouth between VT-100A and Route 4.

PROJECTED COMPLETION: late November 2021



REMINDER: AOT has coordinated with the Department of Parks, Forests, and Recreation regarding the winter closure of Shrewsbury Road/ Old CCC Road, in light of the ongoing VT-100 closure. The road will be closed around 2:00 pm today due to anticipated weather at higher elevations.


The contractor installed forms for bridge 115 this week.

The VT-100A paving project is complete as of October 15.
