Spring lambs visit Tyson Congregational Church for Easter services, 2018

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter. The early morning drizzle didn’t last long and it was nice that the sun appeared to brighten up the day. It was wonderful to see so many people at Tyson Church for Resurrection Sunday. As an added treat, organist, Terry DeYoung brought in two, one week old lambs – dressed in diapers and onsies! Their mom did not survive, so she needs to feed them often. The youngsters enjoyed them, but so did the rest of us!

I understand that there will be a musical performance on Monday, 4/9 at 7:00 PM at the North Universalist Chapel. This concert is a fundraiser for the Yoh Theater Scotland trip, so donations will be accepted at the door. This trip will include several folks from Plymouth – Anna Hepler, Julia Kowalski and Eve Cole are the Plymouth students, and Ian Dupont and Naomi Moyer will be chaperoning.

There is a request for volunteer help at the Coolidge Homestead. Docents are needed, so anyone enthusiastic about history and willing to spend some time chatting with visitors about president Coolidge should contact Diane Kemble, Education Director, Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation at education@coolidgefoundation.org or call 802-324-9465. Help is needed to staff the schoolhouse on Summer and Fall Thursdays and Saturdays from 1-3 p.m. as well as on special event days.

There is also a need for volunteers to lead Coolidge Site History Exploration visits with students, their parents and teachers. Most school visits are between mid-May and mid-June and September through October, usually between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Orientation and materials are provided. Consider lending a hand!
