Since it was still light after dinner on Sunday, Tom and I took a walk in the brisk air and watched the pink hues stretch across the sky. Barely an hour later as I am writing this column, snow is beginning to coat the deck. I want to yell, “enough!” Flurries overnight on Friday added up to almost 6 inches, which was a rude awakening on Saturday morning. I will admit that it was beautiful the way it glistened in the sunlight, but like most folks, I am done with winter and ready for spring!
I don’t seem to have much news this week. I imagine that things are going on, so perhaps I am simply not tuning in. There will be a Community Luncheon in the Community Room at Tyson Church on Thursday, 4/19. Beef stew, salad, rolls, and a dessert to be determined. It begins at 11:30 and all are welcome. Trying to seek out some local musical talent to liven up the gathering. Get in touch if you know someone!
I didn’t see the announcement in time for last week, but yoga classes with Diana Rose Plumley are back at the Community Center on Sunday mornings from 10:30 to 11:30. All levels are welcome and the cost is $12 per class or 4 for $40. For more info you can call 802-345-9435 or email DianaRoseYoga@gmail.com
It is time for some of our local business owners to take a break. Although the Inn itself is opening for guests, the restaurant at the Echo Lake Inn is closed. The Inn at Water’s Edge is closed at this time.
