Construction Updates Routes VT-100 and VT-100A

The Vermont Agency of Transportation (AOT) is using accelerated construction to improve VT-100 in Plymouth and VT-100A, which spans Plymouth and Bridgewater.

DATE: October 15, 2021

VT-100  TRAFFIC IMPACT: VT-100 will remain closed between Route 4 and VT-100A through October 29th (see map) due to construction delays. Detour signs and message boards are in place to direct traffic. Please travel with caution. 


CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:

This week, work focused on structural elements of Bridge 115. The contractor has placed concrete for both abutment footings. Next week, they will install the forms for the arch footing. At bridge 114, the contractor completed earthwork around the culvert inlet and outlets this week. Base course paving and guardrail installation are planned for next week.

LOCATION: VT-100 in Plymouth between VT-100A and Route 4.


PROJECTED COMPLETION: October 2021


Subcontractor VR Concrete placed concrete for the first abutment at bridge 115.
VT-100A Today marks this project’s substantial completion!

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: This week, subcontractor L&D painted durable lines on the roadway, stop bars, and “STOP” symbols. Subcontractor Lafayette placed delineators at the beginning and end of guardrail runs. Pike Industries will work on miscellaneous items next week to clean up the job site, and after this is completed, remove construction signage. 

TRAFFIC IMPACT: Next week, there will be alternating lanes of travel where miscellaneous work is completed. This will occur between 6:00 am until 6:00 pm and travel will be managed by flaggers.



Guardrail delineators were installed this week along VT-100A.

REMINDER: During the VT-100 closure (see above), VT-100A is the dedicated detour route. Please plan your travel accordingly.

LOCATION: VT-100A between VT-100 and Route 4, connecting Plymouth and Bridgewater.
