Emily Dupont, who stared as Alice at the Paramount this last Spring, attends Nutmeg Conservatory in CT this Fall.

9/16/18

Although there has been a hint of fall in the air, the recent warm sunshine has been delightful, so I hope that everyone has been able to get outdoors to enjoy it!

Yes, the Community Luncheon at Tyson Church will be taking place this Thursday, 9/20 at 11:30. Thanks to folks for jumping in to provide yummy 4 cheese and pasta, chicken salad, green salad and dessert. All are welcome.

I am pleased to be able to share news about our own Emily Dupont, who is well known for her amazing dance talent. In July she even shared her skills with local youngsters at Pentangle. For the second summer in a row, she participated at The Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts in Torrington, CT and has now enrolled in their Year Round Post High School Program, while also taking courses through CCV. To help cover expenses, she has become an RA there. If anyone would like to encourage Emily in her endeavors, please consider donating on her behalf to The Nutmeg: 58 Main Street; Torrington, CT 06790 so that she can continue her program.

Start the week right! Join Sunday Morning Yoga with Dawn!

I understand that Sunday morning Yoga classes with Dawn will be resuming at the Community Center on 9/22 at 10:30. the cost is $12 per class or $90 for 10 classes. So, bring your mat and join in.

Get ready for the Ludlow Elementary School Parent-Teacher Group Harvest Fair on the front lawn of Black River High School on Saturday, 9/29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event includes local vendors, artisans and crafters, a “teacup” raffle, bake sale and live music.
